4WD Training Course: 1 Day

This one day course is designed for those with limited time. We limit the number of trainees so that you can still experience our excellent training standards. This course covers operating your vehicle over a variety of terrain, water crossings, snatch strap recovery, and wheel changing.

This Course provides Nationally Recognised Training in the following Units of Competency

Basic 4WD Training

4WD Training Course: 2 Days
With all the negative press regarding 4WD’s on the road, we thought it was high time to introduce a course that addressed all the needs of the modern 4WD driver. This 2 day course includes low risk driving techniques such as, life support, crash prevention, crash avoidance space, and emergency braking. The 4WD subjects include, Operating your vehicle over a variety of terrain, water crossings, snatch strap recovery, and wheel changing.

Sand Driving 4WD Course: 1 Day
Marvel at your ability to tackle bigger and bigger dunes as the day progresses. This is a great learning experience and our guides will ensure you have an enjoyable and safe day out.
This course is for those interested in tackling the beach and inland dunes. The course progressively takes you through small dunes and correct tyre pressures to where you learn to conquer the tallest sand dunes.

All Wheel Drive Course: 1 Day
With the boom in All Wheel Drive vehicles, we have formatted a course specifically designed to meets the requirements of these vehicles. This course covers operating your vehicle over a variety of terrain, water crossings, snatch strap recovery, and wheel changing.

This Course provides Nationally Recognised Training in the following Units of Competency

Advanced 4WD Course: 1 day
The advanced 4WD course builds on your knowledge & skills and has terrain with a greater degree of difficulty with an emphasis on advanced recovery techniques. Subjects covered include, Steep inclines and declines, deep water crossings, safe operation of power winches and other recovery equipment.

This Course provides Nationally Recognised Training in the following Units of Competency
SRODRV002B Drive a 4WD vehicle in difficult terrain using advanced techniques
SRODRV003B Recover a 4WD vehicle using advanced techniques

Students who wish to participate in this course are advised that as a prerequisite they need to demonstrate competence in SRODRV001B or equivalent.
